02. Treatment

In many cases, laparoscopic surgery has replaced open surgery as the preferred treatment option. Keyhole surgery provides the possibility to reach the area of operation more gently and to operate with much higher precision.

The patient benefits from a much smaller access opening with significantly reduced loss of blood, which shortens the hospital stay considerably.

Any patient is potentially eligible for this form of surgery, with the exception of patients who had an extensive open abdominal surgery in the past.
